Transformers are Dangerous was the first in-fiction marketing effort for the billion dollar Transformers franchise. A series of in-fiction websites, news articles, and short videos bridged the narrative between Transformers 3 and Transformers Age of Extinction. The teaser campaign reached more than half a million unique participants, garnering over 1.5 million page views, winning the Mobile Marketing Award for Most Effective Tablet Advertising Campaign, and named a Webby Awards Honoree for Interactive Advertising & Media Display & Banner Campaigns. In addition to the in-fiction campaign, 42 Entertainment designed the official movie website for Age of Extinction.
